Some things are sacred. Imagine a Twitch without purple... or emotes
No matter how much we evolve as a brand, our will to be different will never change. It’s who we are, and it’s best represented by our signature elements.
Nostalgia is powerful, and our updated Twitch wordmark couldn’t exist without it.
It was designed using the DNA of its predecessor, with bold, blocky letterforms that keep us strong but playful.
The extrusion, inspired by classic video games, represents our unshakeable gaming legacy.
And this?
This is our old
friend, Glitch.
Maybe you’ve seen it in our site, or tattooed on somebody’s arm.
Glitch is a shorthand way of saying 'Twitch'.
It represents the playful nature of Twitch and its Creators. And yes, it still looks great on pins.
Meet Roobert, a mono-linear, geometric, sans serif font family that’s sleek, clean, and modern.
It was designed to celebrate Robert Arthur Moog, legendary inventor of the first commercial synthesizer We loved it so much we decided to adopt it.
Some things are already perfect.
With chat, our community gave our beloved emotes purpose. Now they’re just part of our lexicon, so we’re using them more often and in more places.
There is no Twitch without purple. Period. It’s the only color weird enough to represent our creativity, wisdom, mystery, and magic. That’s why we love it, live it, and bleed it.
Purple is one of the rarest colors in the world because it exists in culture and art, but not in optics. It’s the perfect combination of blue (stable and structured) and red (vibrant and energetic).
Twitch is a dynamic, vibrant, evolving melting pot, and we need a design system to match.
Inspired by the energetic community that makes us who we are, we now have a whole bunch of colors designed to take self-expression to the next level.
Purple got us to where we are, but now it needs some reinforcements, so we’ve invited a few dozen new colors to the mix.
These shades are inspired by our community’s vibrancy and energy, and their names by the video games we all fell in love with.
One of our favorite extended palette uses, gradients show up in extrusions, photography, and more.
Alongside purple, our colors can blend, adapt, and change. They represent the collaborative relationship between Twitch and its creators, and, much like the relationship itself, they’re magical.

Our not-so-secret ingredient is our community.
We’re at our best when they’re at their best, which is why this rebrand couldn’t be just about us, but about celebrating the community members that make Twitch, Twitch. For them we’ve created a very special product as vibrant and energetic as they are.
Twitch is a beautiful mess, and that’s a huge part of what we all love about it
But we’re here to help this community do what it does best, even better.
And that includes building a structured brand system that focuses their limitless creativity so they create even more—together
Twitch will always be a home for gamers, but the door is open and we want everyone to join in.
That’s why all elements have been designed to work together just as well in level 1 as in expanded universe, for old vets and for new fans, and everyone in between.
Play with all the elements to see them come to life.
